This project showcases a dramatic transformation of a dated cabin-style home into a welcoming, modern mountain retreat.
Before, the home featured a small, uncovered platform deck with basic outdoor furniture and no protection from the elements. The home’s tan siding, brown trim, and exposed utility boxes created a flat exterior with little visual interest or functionality.
After, we added a custom gabled front porch roof with bold cedar-wrapped posts and beams, instantly enhancing curb appeal while creating a functional outdoor living space. The house exterior was updated with deep charcoal siding and coordinating trim for a sleek, modern look that contrasts beautifully with the rich wood tones. Finishing touches like new lighting, a warm-toned front door, and updated landscaping completed the transformation—offering both form and function with mountain charm.
This new front porch not only provides a protected entry but also creates a cozy sitting area perfect for rocking chairs and conversation, all while tying into the surrounding natural landscape.
